Electrical!

And I said, let there be light!! Well not literally, but holy wires throughout the house. They put in all of the light switch wiring and housing, ceiling lights/fan assemblies and light fixtures housing. We had what they call a frame walk on Feb. 12th, were we go around the house with the superintendent of the build and have them make any last changes or adds before they start the insulation and dry wall. We established where we wanted a half hot (well, a full hot, only one since they wanted to charge us an arm and a leg for each one). We also had the builders put in studs for where we'll be hanging the TV's.  We added a light switch and light for the attic space and a larger opening for the attic. Paul also requested an couple extra electrical outlets in the garage on a separate circuit so that he doesn't blow the breaker. We also got a cable outlet in the garage for the rare occasion he'll be watching tv while in the garage. Now, part of me thinks that may have been a bit of a waste because of the wireless cable boxes the TV providers have. Oh well.....it's Paul's deal.

Here are a couple pictures of all them wires!!

Master bedroom/kitchen wall

this is where all the wires go out to the breaker - which is by the master bath

While we were at the frame walk, the workers were putting up the exterior walls - which weren't all plywood - part of it seemed almost like styrofoam...very weird. Then they put up what looked like chicken wire stuff all along the exterior on top of the styrofoam walls (styrofoam...really?!), which I'm assuming is to help keep the stucco in place when that goes in. At the same time they were doing that, they had brought the roof tiles in and stacked them up on the roof.

That's the roof tiles over on the right

I really feel like this shit is styrofoam....they built our house with styrofoam! huh

2.14.15 - marking where we want the studs to go

we wrote on the ground where we want the studs positioned

almost all the styrofoam on and roof tiles up 2.14.15
