Stucco and Drywall

Soon after the frame walk and the frame inspection the drywall and insulation go in! Woooo!!!

Of course, while Paul and I were in Reno for Paul's best friend's wedding, they started the putting the insulation in the walls and installing the dry wall. Our real estate agent was on top of it though, it's like she had a sixth sense that it was going to happen and stopped by the property and they were putting the walls up. She snapped a bunch of pictures for us (below) so at least we had them to document.

One of our upgrades was to put insulation between the great room and the guest rooms that will eventually be the babies rooms :) We're going to be hanging the tv on the wall and the insulation will help muffle the sound that may travel into the other rooms.

this picture is the shared wall between guest/baby room and great room - you can also see the studs they put in for where we'll hang the TV.

Then it's time for the dry wall!!

and there's Paul sitting on the bath tub! That spot is my progress spot!
And the stucco, covering that crazy chicken wire!

And can I just share this next picture?! I absolutely adore it!!

After all the drywall and stucco goes in, they smooth out the edges, cut the holes for electrical and add texture:

wall texture with a fucking Jesus Fish on it...I'm sure Jesus had nothing to do to create wall texture...sheesh!

in the great room - 3/8/15

outside garage - 3/8/15

they put a few piles of dirt on the side of the house - we think it's to fill in the land a bit

That's it for now :) Catch ya later!
